The eBusiness Security group supports a mission critical financial industry multi-tiered environment based on application risk assurance and associated authentication levels while delivering secure access to both external and internal web applications. The overall objective of the position is to provide operational and technical support services that meet customer needs for security, reliability, scalability and availability.
  • Position is responsible for planning, configuration, deployment, support and maintenance of IBM security solutions related to solutions tied to internal and external web access in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • The position will conduct investigations and provide remediation solutions for both security and service related incidents and problems and assist in determining technical solution recommendations based on sound risk based analysis.
  • In addition, responsibilities include obtaining business requirements for service subscribers and to provide technical solutions to meet said requirements.
  • The ideal candidate requires minimal supervision; and with oversight, configures, tests, implements, and supports these solutions in collaboration with other technical support and business areas.
  • This position works with critical and sensitive information on a daily basis and is relied upon to maintain security safeguards and requires a strong in-depth understanding of business operations and processes.

Job Knowledge and Skills:
  • It is preferred that the candidate have practical experience (minimum 1 to 3 contiguous years) planning, configuring, deploying and supporting IBM Security Access Manager and/or IBM Datapower Gateway administration/development: providing operational support of these solutions in the areas of incident and problem management, release and change management, business continuity planning and recovery methodologies, and practical experience in recovering solutions in a timely and effective manner.
  • It is preferred that the candidate have practical experience (minimum of 1 year) in Python, Perl, or shell scripting, or Java programming in support of infrastructure services; the security models and integration options of aforementioned IBM solutions with LDAPs, PKI services, and middleware services such as HTTP (web) and application servers; and has supported the aforementioned solutions in an infrastructure that leverage local-traffic/global-traffic-manager and firewall solutions.
Position Competencies:
  • The candidate needs to have practical experience and understanding of the demands of providing production support in a tiered infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment, on a 24 x 7 schedule
  • Good analytical skills and demonstrated ability to make rational, sound decisions in a diverse and challenging environment
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a larger coordinated workgroup
  • The ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to others clearly and crisply
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • The position is subject to extended work hours to resolve problems and or to implement changes.
  • The position requires sitting (for prolonged periods of time), extensive typing and focus on computer displays for extended periods and may require lifting, carrying or pulling less than 20 lbs.

Education/Experience:
  • Four years of college resulting in a Bachelors degree, or 4-7 years of related work experience in support of a large scale multi-tiered environment.
  • Work experience in a web-based commercial transaction processing environment and relevant technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, communications, database/middleware software, and network protocols.
  • A CISSP, SANS, GIAC or similar certification is desirable.
  • On-call and weekend work is expected.

Locations requested are, in order of preference: Richmond, VA, Dallas, TX and East Rutherford, NJ. Remote support is possible for highly qualified candidates.
